Where can I find pricing for your towers?

Simply call or email Kim@educationalsteelproducts.com 765-534-4092 and she will help you with that.

What kind of tower do I need?

First, try to decide if you are able to install a fixed (permanent) tower.  If so, are you able and willing to climb vertical ladders? If so, consider an FWL model.  If not, you will need an FWS.  If you are not able to install anything permanent, then check out the PWS towers.  Fixed are usually more cost effective, but portability adds flexibility.

How tall should it be and where should I place it?

Usually, 24-feet is high enough.  For smaller bands of 100 or so, 16-feet will do quite nicely.  You can always compromise at 20-feet.  For very large ensembles that regularly march beyond the 20's, you might consider a 28 or even a 32-foot tower.

Ideally, the height/distance ratio is best when it mimics the height/distance ratio of your target audience.  Using graph paper, plot the relative distance of your primary listeners and viewers.  Be sure to plot both the distance from your sideline and the estimated elevation of your audience.  Draw a line from the center of your graph paper “field” to the plotted “audience.”  Using the recommended height of your tower plus about five feet for eye-level approximation, find where that line would intersect with your audience line.  That would be the recommended location for your tower.  The more your preference lies toward a birds’ eye view, the closer to the sideline you will want to adjust your tower location. If you do move closer, please remember that your audience will see a slightly foreshortened version of your vision. To see exactly what they will see, remain near the intersection of your tower line and your audience line.

When will I receive my tower?

It depends upon when you order.  Towers ordered in the off-season (November through March) are usually delivered in 6-8 weeks.  The later in the season, the longer the fabrication time becomes.  We deliver first come-first served, based on the date of receipt of the P.O. and down payment.

Who will install my tower?

Our preferred level of installation is called a "Co-op."

Our kit, which is standard with every tower, makes installation of the concrete base straightforward and non-threatening.  We usually rent the crane and install the fully-assembled tower on the slab you pour with the above-mentioned kit.

Why doesn't this site list pricing?

Our pricing includes any required wind ratings as well as FOB delivery, so we need to know where you are to create your own personalized pricing.

How do you put a price on safety?
bullet

Recent reports of injuries resulting from poorly constructed towers, both to directors and to the children in their care, underscore the importance of a good design.

bullet

Liability demands that you do your best to limit exposure to "attractive nuisances" like old unprotected towers.

bullet

Safety is the overriding value at ESP:  locking enclosures or anti-access panels along with caution signs are among the safety features.

bullet

Multiple uses:
bullet

Host tournaments.
bullet

Use your tower as a press box.

bullet

Give your judges and  coaches a different perspective.

bullet

Security is becoming more of an issue:
bullet

Many security departments would benefit from the ability to see their entire parking lot from one vantage point.

bullet

A tower may be able to accomplish this goal.

bullet

Video and photography:
bullet

Sports officials love to video their teams.

bullet

Yearbook photographers enjoy the ability to photograph groups from above.

bullet

School spirit:
bullet

A good tower lifts the spirits of those who use it and is a source of pride to the entire school.

bullet

A professional-looking tower reflects well upon a well-organized and smooth-operating music or athletic department.

bullet

We offer school spirit options like logo panels, flag sockets and more!

bullet

Property values and neighborhood relations:
bullet

Old rickety towers detract from the value of surrounding properties while a professional tower enhances appearances.

bullet

Your buildings and grounds department may be willing to "kick in a few bucks" to purchase an attractive addition to the facilities.
